I do the same with every release:

1. python setup.py build_ext -i 2. cp conf/pytonerc pytonerc 3. setting musicbasedir in pytonerc 4. ./pytone -c pytonerc While upgrading the debian packages yesterday I had the same problem yesterday, but after fiddling a little bit with the config and deleting the database it worked....
