I am using Pytone 2.2.3 on a Ubuntu system. Great work, I really like it!
Just two questions: - How do you delete a playlist, which was created with 'ctrl-w'? - Is it possible to add silence (e.g. a pause of 2 seconds) between songs?
I thought it was possible by doing something like:
crossfading = on crossfadingstart = 0 crossfadingduration = 2
But I tested it and it didn't work.
This setting would mean that the crossfading process starts right at the end of the song.
Exactly, that was what happened :)
Actually it would be nice if the current implementation would allow both crossfading and silence with the same set of options. E.g. if crossfadingstart is 0, then do not crossfade but silence for the duration of crossfadingduration.
Actually, I would propose to allow something like
crossfadingstart = -2 crossfadingduration = 2
which would mean that the fading in of the next song starts two seconds after the previous song has ended.
Note that setting "crossfading = off" would disable such a solution. In this sense, having an additional setting "songgap" would be preferable.
What do you think?
If crossfadingduration = 0, wouldn't that mean crossfading is effectively off ? I would prefer to not have this option available. Also, swapping negative and positive makes more sense to me as well. So crossfadingstart = -2 would mean that 2 songs are crossfaded and crossfadingstart = 2 would mean there is a gap.
