Hi, I have 3 CDs from the same artist. If you enter the Artist directory, you see the 3 CD title directories and a 4th directory "[Songs (29)]/", inside that directory it has all the songs from the 3 discs. Now if you perform 'R' inside the dir, it does not work even though it could. If it is an action that is to be performed on a directory, it would be nice if it acts on the current directory (if no directory has been highlighted). I'm not totally opposed to such a feature, although it sounds a bit implicit to me. But if we implement it, we should also do it for 'i'. An alternative could be to use 'R' vs 'r'. Then the restriction on not having selected a directory would not apply. Similarly, for 'I' vs 'i'. On the other hand, this could be rather dangerous, in particular, when CAPS-LOCK is enabled. Yet another alternative would be to use a prefix, "cr", "ci", etc. What do the others think?

It sounds intuitive to me. How about making it a general behaviour? That is, if the cursor is not on a directory entry when issueing a directory command, the current directory should be assumed as target. Uwe
