Sorry, I really forgot to respond to your original report, which I've only now fished out of my mailbox. Too much stress lately.

I just tried to reproduce this behaviour by registering a copy of one mp3 file. If I delete this copy afterwards and update the database (using "u"), the second copy of the song disappears from the database.
